Mechanical Engineer (Pressure Safety Valve inspection)  

About the job:

You will be working for an Oil & Gas, Owner/Operator, at a larger refinery, located in Corpus Christi, TX.

JOB DUTIES:

·         Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) Inspection

·         Review inspection records and identify bad actors, review failures and provide recommendations.

·         Develop and implement ideas, initiatives, and programs to improve unit performance, increase equipment reliability/availability, and reduce fixed equipment maintenance cost. 

Education and Qualifications:

·         BS Engineering degree (10 + years of PSV inspection in lieu of degree)

·         5 + years of Oil & Gas (refinery, petrochemical, Chemical) plant experience

·          Familiarity with relevant industrial standards related to fixed equipment and monitoring equipment/system (ASME, API, PIP, ANSI)

·         Utilize API standards and Industry Best Practices for analysis and recommendations.

·         Familiarity or experience with standard for critical equipment repairs, and monitoring

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

·         The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card.
