Global Business Excellence Manager

Start Date- Immediately, Duration- Direct Hire, Location- Houston, TX

Job purpose: · Develop and lead strategic agenda for Business Excellence culture and tools. · Work in conjunction with Sr. Management on the transformation of the organization into a prevention mindset and performance excellence. · Improves the overall business performance of the organization through the leadership of developing the behaviors/competencies of company executives, managers, peers and their subordinate teams to eliminate waste, increase throughput, reduce cost and improve quality. · Acts as change agent and influencer to implement advanced, transformational operating processes across the organization using proven business excellence methods · Development of operations performance and continuous improvement policy and programs Reporting lines and interactions: Hierarchically reports to: QHSES Programs & Services Director Operationally reports to: QHSES Programs & Services Director Directly supervises (operationally): Global Business Excellence Management resources Key interactions (internally, externally): Internally: QHSES Leadership teams, GBUs/EMS/Shared Services Leadership teams and BE resources, Pulse/IQ Hub, Development and influence of BE culture and competencies throughout the entire organization Externally: BE Resource Groups Job scope (= role dimension: budget, management, specific criteria) · Global responsibility for all BE dedicated resources and tools/licenses that support the organization from a BE perspective. Also includes development of BE competencies throughout the organization. Management and budget responsibility for global BE resources, tools, licenses and external consultant agreements and relationships and memberships. Profile: Must have: - Sr Management experience leading BE team for a global organization - University degree or equivalent - 10+ years of Operational excellence / continuous improvement program / prevention methodologies experience. - Strong track record of delivering valuable business results (improvement in cost, lead time, quality and operational efficiency). Requires the ability to simplify complex problems and achieve effective results. - Ability to build strong working relationships with both higher, peer and lower levels in the organization - Able to lead and influence organizational transformation leadership in a diverse, multi-cultural global environment - Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt Certificate plus 5 years work experience using these methodologies. - Working knowledge of formal Quality Management Systems - Operative experience, manufacturing, engineering and/or quality leadership - Fluent in Written and spoken English. Nice to have: - ASQ / Certified Quality Manager / Engineer certifications - Experience within a formal Quality Management System - Work experience on Projects or Operations. - Previous experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction / Oil & Gas industry. - Fluent in additional languages: French and/or Portuguese (Brazilian) Main accountabilities · Leads the design of organizational transformation for prevention and performance excellence with the support and engagement of the Executive/Sr. Leadership teams. · Manage the development, influence and alignment of the BE strategy, policies, standards, processes and tool kit. · Leads the global BE organizational, defines and communicates strategies, goals, objectives and the associated resource requirements in collaboration with the QHSES Sr Leadership team. · Through personal interaction, challenges and effectively changes current practices, environment and thinking. · Leads, coaches, and guides BE network staff in implementing GBU-BU-SS initiatives. · Consolidating BE data from all business groups · Deploy system for BE reporting and information sharing across the organization · Maintains constructive relationships across the organization · Conduct industry benchmark in Lean Six Sigma and related prevention methodologies and ensures that we are keeping up with new methods/tools and practices within our industry · Develop leadership performance/problem solving strategy and competencies throughout all levels of the organization Additional information: International Travel Required
